Healthy Football Food

The Superbowl is the most watched sporting event of the year, its also the most food driven party.  You can serve up the standard-wings, meatballs and dips but don't forget some of the healthier options too!  All of us are trying to stay on track - lets not get 'sidelined' by the Super Bowl festivities!

A yummy dip to start off with:

Broccoli Salsa Dip
1 can low sodium celery soup
1 package frozen chopped broccoli
1 jar of your favorite salsa
8 oz 2% sharp chedder cheese
Make:
Defrost frozen broccoli, drain and spread in bottom of microwavable serving dish
spread soup on top, then layer with salsa and sprinkle cheese on top
Place in microwave for 10 minutes, test center and heat 5 minutes more if needed
Take tortilla chips or black beans and form a football or goal post on top of cheese
Serve with tortilla chips

Who doesn't love their own personal Veggie Dipping Cups -from Spearmint Baby?

Serve a fruit display with some vanilla greek yogurt for dipping -from Party123

Everyone loves wings - just grill them and add your favorite hot sauce, Grilled Chicken Wings -FoodNetwork

and Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries (to save time pick up a bag in the frozen section of your grocery store)

Hope you enjoy your Super Bowl Party!  We will probably only make it till halftime when we have to come home to put the kids in bed.
